4/2/08 - A new long distance race will take place in Michigan this May. The Bushwhacker Challenge takes place starting on May 17th with paddlers having to be finished by May 22nd. There is also a short 10 mile race.
4/2/08 - The Hugh Heward Challenge is scheduled for April 26th on the Grand River in Michigan. This is a 50 mile paddle which serves as a good training run for the General Clinton and AuSable Canoe Marathon.
4/2/08 - Matt Streib and Ray Trudgeon won the opening race of the season in Michigan with Ryan and Rod Halstead in 2nd and Bruce Barton and Matt Meersman in 3rd..
